Vote Tawsif Zarif
for young mayor
I am running for Tower Hamlets young mayor for the 2024 – 2026 session and looking for your support. I was born in Tower Hamlets and have lived here ever since. I have shown my capabilities, not only doing well for myself but also leading others towards greater and common benefits. If I become your Young Mayor, I will immediately initiate an innovative youth-empowering program, launch a review of every youth service, and continue to fight for your cause.

Query
young mayor
Like the executive Mayor of Tower Hamlets, the Young Mayor has a cabinet. Young Mayor can make significant contributions to how and what youth service to prioritise.
The Young Mayor, and deputy young mayors, are elected to serve two-year terms. The election will be taking place in December 2023.
The young mayor deputies are the voice of young people in the borough. They work closely with other local young people and services to understand their issues and raise concerns. Tower Hamlets has over 10 million pounds budget for these services per annum.
Young Mayor and his cabinet perform the following activities:
– representing young people locally and nationally,
– getting involved in the Tower Hamlets Youth Council and other local youth forums,
– attending events and organising special projects and,
– influencing and steering strategic decisions that affect young people in the borough.

Vote Tawsif, one of the most competent candidates.
Here I will try to answer some of the most common queries.
First thing first, who can vote?
Any student in secondary school who lives or studies in Tower Hamlets between the ages of 11-17 can vote.
When is the vote?
The election week is from the 4th to 10th December 2023, and the voting is for electing a young mayor and their cabinet for a 2-year term. The new term will start from 1st of January 2024.
How does it work?
Each person needs to collect a ballot paper from their school. Once someone make their selection, they can drop the ballot paper into the ballot box within their school during the voting week. Alternatively, they go online using the QR code on the ballot paper. Every ballot has a unique number that you need to enter online to confirm your vote.
What if my school is outside Tower Hamlets?
If your school is outside Tower Hamlets, you still can vote. You can go to any youth centre within Tower Hamlets to collect your ballot paper. You must bring your school ID or any form of ID with you. Alternatively, you can request a candidate to organise a ballot paper or a unique number for you providing your identity. Once you have had your ballot you must go online to vote. You will have everything you require to vote on the ballot paper (the link and a unique code). You won’t be able to drop your ballot at your school when it is out the Tower Hamlets Borough.
